v1.7.1: The Beastmaster
While the champions have taken inspiration from Artifact with the permanent modifications, and LoR with the signature spells, the switching between creature and spell forms also resembles a class from the original spectromancer: The Beastmaster.
This patch features all the Beastmaster creatures except Beast 5, which was pretty uninspiring. In addition, there's a returning card:

Target ally. Destroy it. If it was basic, +3 FWAE.
This was one of the cards from original spectromancer, in the sorcerer class. It was removed when too easy ways to generate disposable units were printed into aether. However, since the sorcerer didn't have any aether creatures at all, it functionally only worked on basic creatures, and with this adjustment, it can be balanced for aethermancer. Onto the beast cards.

Note that Ancient Dragon is a neutral card, but Breathe Fire is an Evoker card. Therefore, if you wish to include Breathe Fire in your deck without going through Ancient Dragon, you have to be an Evoker. Yes, Breathe Fire is an Evoker effect, but Ancient Dragon gets to do it in neutral, because they get to see it coming and can thus play around it.
Enrage and Trumpet can also be played standalone. There's no reason to play Enrage standalone, but maybe someone may find a use of Trumpet. (The requirement is 6+ instead of 5+ because otherwise the combo with Astral Drake is likely too strong.)
